Inception of the Jin Min Cat Museum

The Jin Min Cat World in Mysore was started by Sharath, a resident of Mysore and a cat lover. He sought to extend his deep interest and love for cats at large by establishing this cat amusement park and museum in Mysore. Ever since its inception, the place has been drawing not only cat lovers but also tourists, students, and particularly families and children.

Why visit the Jin Min Cat World?

The Jin Min Cat World is not just a cat museum. It’s an educational ground where you gain deeper insights into responsible pet-parenting. Currently, the museum has more than twenty cats of various breeds apart from the seven to eight cats of the Indian breed. The museum consists of popular breeds to exotic ones. In truth, there are about 50 to 60 cat breeds, but most people are not aware of them. The museum also showcases an attractive display of art, sculptures, and paintings related to cats, all visually appealing.

Also, the establishment of this museum is mainly to spread awareness about cats under one roof. Visitors learn basic cat care, such as the food cats should be fed and the importance of vaccination. They also learn about the cats’ daily routine. In short, the museum is to observe and learn about cats. However, the museum does not sell cats. All the cats in the museum were given out of love, and none of them were bought.

Furthermore, the museum is well-maintained, and the guides are warm and knowledgeable, ready to patiently explain things to visitors.
