Arunodaya Institute of Legal Studies, Mariyappana Palya, Bangalore

Arunodaya Institute of Legal studies (AILS) aspires to be a pinnacle organization in the field of Law studies. The institute uses innovative teaching methods to teach students and has always laid strong emphasis on getting acquainted with practical knowledge. The vision and mission of this college is to provide the students with best opportunities so that they are able to achieve academic excellence.

This Institute is affiliated to Karnataka State Law University and has been approved by Bar Council of India. The campus is situated near Jnana Bharti Campus of Bangalore University. It is accessible from all parts of the city and has a BMTC bus stop near the campus.

Courses Offered

The courses offered are the five year integrated law course and three year law course.

Infrastructure Facilities

Arunodaya Institute of Legal studies believes that library is a key to the growth of an educational institution. The college has facilitated the growth of a well equipped library with a separated section for reference and reading. Magazines are provided to the students in order to help then increase their general knowledge. The timings of the library can be extended during the examination periods to assist the students in the exam preparation.

A Moot Court is in place to help the students learn the authentic judicial process followed in a real court of law. Mock trials are conducted regularly so that students learn the practical knowledge of this profession.

Other Facilities Available

Guest lectures are organized frequently to assist with Industry interaction with the students. Students gain more knowledge when they interact with a more experienced professional from the industry. These kinds if lectures enable students to learn what they cannot learn during classroom interaction.

A legal aid cell and NSS are also available so that students explore opportunities of interaction with the common masses and increase their understanding of people in relation with their subject.

The NSS camp is organized at various with villages so that students can gain a different experience.

Extra-curricular activities

Extra -curricular activities include cultural and sports activities like dance competition, fashion shows, quiz, debates etc. Sports activities include both indoor and outdoor activities. Indoor games like chess are encouraged stimulate intellectual exercise while outdoor games like cricket, athletics etc are encouraged to increase physical activity.

Admission

The college follows the state’s guidelines during for admission process thus students from backward classes can also apply by furnishing their OBC, SC/ST certificates during admission. The fee once paid at the time of admission will not be refundable. Also belated application forms submitted beyond the admission deadline will not be accepted. An admission committee would review  admissions of foreigners and other state candidates.
