Offline Application
The first step to apply for these two certificates is to visit the Nadakacheri or Atalji Janasnehi Kendra. Earlier `Nemmadi’ centers used to disburse these certificates and now that responsibility has been handed over to Nadakacheri offices which are popularly called as the Atalji Janasnehi Kendra.
Online Application
Visit www.nadakacheri.karnataka.gov.in to apply online. The cyber operator in Nadakacheri will collect all the new applications. A provision has been made for the operator to collect the application submitted in cyber centers other than Nadakacheri.
Issuing Of Caste And Income Certificates – Process
After collecting all the applications, the cyber operator in NadaKacheri will handover all the completed applications to the Revenue Inspector (RI). Once the verification by the revenue inspector is completed, the applications will be handed over to caseworker.
Finally, a caseworker will submit all these applications to the Tahsildar at the taluk headquarter. After verification Tahsildar will do digital signature on the certificate.
The applicant can collect his caste certificates in Nadakacheri. The applicant can check the status of the application on the Nadakacheri website. All this process should be completed within 21 days.

- Voter ID card
- Aadhar
- Ration card
- Transfer Certificate (TC) from the school
- Salary slip of family members or a tax payment receipt is mandatory for completing the form.
For online application, all the supporting documents which are to be uploaded should be in PDF format and the size of the file should be lesser than 2MB.

A candidate has to pay a fixed amount towards the certificate. The amount can be paid even through internet banking and card payment.

Rejection Of Applications – Things To Know
Tahsildar has all the power to accept or reject the certificate. If s/he finds any misappropriation or any faults he can reject the certificate or he can recommend to submit the file after making necessary changes.
Typically the application can be rejected due to:
- Incomplete information provided during the application request
- Insufficient supportive documents provided
An applicant can complain to Deputy Commissioner, assistant commissioner or Commissioner, Survey Settlement and land records in case of rejection of applications.
The applicant can resubmit the application with repayment of service charges. In the event of any delay in the issue of the certificate, the local Tahsildar office can be contacted.
As per the Karnataka Guarantee Of Services to Citizens – (KGSC), the caste and income certificate delivery has been brought under the Sakala Scheme. This means, within 21 days, the concerned agency must issue the certificate or reject it if it found documents are not proper.

The government agencies take two to three weeks’ time to issue fresh caste certificates as it involves the field visit and the document verification.
