Rajeev Institute of Technology is one of the well known colleges in the field of technical education. Established in the year 2008, it is a private co-educational technical engineering college. Located in the city of Hassan Karnataka, it was established under the Rajeev Education Trust. It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. The courses conducted here are Bachelors of engineering and Masters in Business Administration. Rajeev Institute of Technology has managed to make a prominent name in the field of technical education in Karnataka and this is because of the quality of education it provides to its students.
What Does It Offer?
Rajeev Institute of Technology conducts Bachelor of Engineering programs in six subjects and one Post Graduate course. Students can take admission in undergraduate courses and the subjects are electronics and telecommunications, computer science and engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, information science engineering, mechanical engineering and civil engineering. People can also apply for the only Masters program conducted in this college which is Masters of Business Administration. To get admission in the above mentioned courses, students should have passed 10+2 from a recognized board. The selection is however based on the norms of the university. For the Masters program the applicant should be a graduate from a recognized university.
The motive of Rajeev Institute of Technology is to impart high class education and world class facilities to its students. Therefore, besides taking care of the education quality it also gives immense attention to other facilities like library, laboratory, infrastructure etc. The institution’s campus is quite spacious with well lit classrooms. It has a well stacked and up-to-date library which boasts of a collection of more than 12000 volumes of books.
The institute has a separate hostel for boys and girls. With a capacity of more than 500 students, the boy’s hostel is located inside the campus, whereas the girl’s hostel can accommodate around 250 students and is located in Hassan city. Regular buses are provided from college to hostel for hassle free commutation. There is a canteen and a hospital run by the trust. A well equipped laboratory helps students with their education. The campus is Wi Fi enabled.

Dr. V. Rajeev is the President of the trust and Dr. B.N. Rathna is the secretary of the trust who is responsible for managing RIT. Dr. A. N. Ramakrishna is the principal of RIT, Dr. D. A. Dhananjaya is the dean and Dr. H. S. Ningappa is the director of this premier institution. These eminent people are the ones who started this institute with a great thought of serving the members of the society.
