Davangere
Situated in the foothills of the Western Ghats, Davangere city lies in the state of Karnataka in India. Earlier this place was known for its textile business’ and cotton mills but now it’s famous for education and a prominent center for business and economy. Davangere district was established in 1997 after it separated itself from Chitradurga. This place is also famous for its delicious Benne Dosa.

The Anamalai Wildlife Sanctuary that is home to different species of animals and birds like the wild boar, leopards, giant squirrel, Malabar whistling thrush and grey jungle fowls is a popular tourist destination. The Siruvani waterfalls and Dam are also worth seeing. Built hundreds of years ago, the Durgambika temple was built during the rule of Chalukyas and quite popular among tourists. Some of the temples worth seeing in this place are Neerthadi Ranganath temple, Uchangidurga- a temple and a fort lying on top of a hill, Nandigudi Basava temple, and Naraganahalli Anjaneya Temple.
The St. Thomas Church built in 1946 built in the Roman Catholic Style is a beautiful and peaceful place that attracts tourists from all over. Known for its breathtakingly beautiful sunrises and sunsets, the Kunduvada Kere is another popular tourist destination in Davangere. Sri Chennagiri Rangappa Clock Tower is also a must-see spot. Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple
Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple is located in Shamanur village of Davangere district of Karnataka. This temple is dedicated to Sri Hanuman, the monkey deity, who helped Sri Rama during his quest to find and recover his Wife Seetha from the demon Ravana.
Durgambika Temple
It is said that around 200 years ago, a stone was brought from Dugatti Village and installed in this temple and worshipped as Durga Devi.
