Digital library in Karnataka has become a reality. Keeping in mind the changing reading pattern among the readers, the state library department now gave digital touch to its collections. As part of this initiative, the department launched an App, e-Sarvajanika Granthalaya, and digitized over 1 lakh books.

Government Library In Karnataka – History
First library of Karnataka was started in Mysuru in 1915 by then Mysore ruler Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar. This library was started at the Chamarajendra Technical Institute premises on Sayyaji Rao road next to Mysuru Ayurveda College and Research Institute.
This library celebrated its centenary year in 2015. The state public libraries act was notified in the year 1965.
e-Sarvajanika Granthalaya Digital Library In Karnataka – How to Register
This is a free digital library. The users shall first register their name and details here. A One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the registered mobile number and using the OTP, the user can change the password.
