The Orange County Resorts and Hotels Limited, a public limited company established under the Company’s Act 1956, began business in 1994 at Coorg. It is situated amidst three hundred acres of coffee and spice plantations.
The beautiful resort was started before the birth of the Indian nation when Emmanuel T. Ramapuram acquired the Chikkanahalli Estate from the British and started a sprawling coffee and cardamom plantation. After his death, his sons, especially Thomas E. Ramapuram, developed the business and they diversified the plantation business into a hospitality business, especially for new age travelers.

Pricing
- The pricing for individuals between six to eleven years of age is INR 2500
- The pricing for individuals above 12 years of age is INR 3500
These prices are inclusive of meals, extra beds and taxes. There is a discount of 15% during weekdays and 10% during the months of November and December. There are various packages that are given exclusively by the resort in Coorg.
Some packages provided in the Coorg resort include the Fresh and Green Coorg package, the Utsav Package, and the Spirit of Coorg I and II. The rates for these packages may range from INR 51,000 to INR 96,000.
