Misty Woods resort is one among the many resorts in Kodagu. But what sets it apart from the rest is its class and hospitality. One step inside and you instantly feel the warmth and you know you are in one of the best resorts Coorg has to offer.

Located at about 3800 ft above sea level, amidst one of the most picturesque parts of the Western Ghats, the mountain ranges known as the “Karadi Moole”,  the resort is. The estate on which the farm resort is located spreads over 100 acres of pristine , unpolluted land.

In addition to being one of the most beautiful spreads of land in the entirety of Coorg, the resort is also located at the foot of the highest peak in known as “Thadiyante Mol”. Also located close to the Misty Woods Resort is the Nalknad Palace which is famous for its carvings and paintings, built in the year 1794.

Facilities at Misty Woods Resort Kodagu

Facilities at Misty Woods include cottages built in accordance to the Kerala style of architecture. Each and every cottage in the resort has been built according to the dictates of the ancient science of Vastu Sastra, with wood and hollow bricks made of clay. Each and every cottage affords the visitor a view of Coorg that is unique and special on its own.

The All Spices Restaurant is another main attraction of this Kodagu resort. This one is also built in the Kerala style of architecture. It has a thatched roof and serves a wide variety of food ranging from cuisines of Kodagu, Chinese, Continental, North Indian, and Kerala.

The Misty Woods Resort offers its visitors  the opportunity to experience nature at close quarters, with their trekking expeditions.  Expeditions to the top of Coorg’s highest peak, “Thadiyante Mol” are also carried out.

Raja’s Seat – Raja’s Seat is one of the most popular locations in Coorg. Any visit to this place is incomplete without a visit to Raja’s seat, a seasonal garden with artificial fountains and variegated flowers. This spot is one of historical importance.

It was here that the kings of Kodagu came to spend the leisure hours of their evenings, purveying the vast expanse of the Kodagu hills, along with their queens.

Nalknad Palace – Nalknad Palace is famous for its carvings and paintings. It was built in the year 1794. It is another must visit for anyone who visits Coorg.
