The resort offers various kinds of cottages, such as Glass house, Log house, Mud house and Tent house. The speciality of the Glass house accommodation is that three sides of the rooms are encased in full-length glass windows that overlook the river. The log house accommodations are large twin cottages mounted at the first-floor level. They have twin bathrooms and balconies that provide a fantastic view of the river and the enveloping greenery of the surrounding area.

The mud house and tent house cottages are beautifully decorated with a prevalent rustic theme. The furniture provided in the cottages is made from timber and go perfectly well with the natural décor of the cottages.

Every cottage in the resort is equipped with comfortable and modern furnishing. Round-the-clock hot water facility and colour television are available in every cottage. There is a common area called Den in the basement of each twin cottage where visitors can play games or enjoy a get-together.

A conference hall allows visitors to conduct meetings and events. The place has a strong telecom network from providers such as Airtel, Reliance and BSNL. An elegant reception area adds to the attractiveness of the resort. An attractive garden is another pleasant feature of the resort.

Shanthi Kunnj Homestay takes complete care of the visitor’s needs. So, it also provides a rest house with all meals for the chauffeurs. There is a large open-air parking area for vehicles to be safely parked. Basic facilities like washing and routine maintenance of the vehicles are also available.

Located adjacent to the Bhadra River and near the Balehonnur town of Chikmagalur district of Karnataka, Shanthi Kunnj resort is easily accessible through private vehicles and on-hire vehicles.

Shanthi Kunnj Homestay offers various tour packages for nature lovers. These packages are arranged at extra cost. There are two packages that conduct complete tours for the visitors. They are:

  • Trekkers Delight: A 3 days and 4 nights package that includes various sightseeing destinations and meals
  • Nature Lovers Delight: A 3-day and 2 nights package that includes treks, yoga and meditation sessions and trips to sightseeing destinations and meals.

Resorts near Chikmagalur: Rates at Shanthi Kunnj

The rates at Shanthi Kunnj are suitable for visitors with different budgets. The rates vary according to the type of accommodation selected. The weekend rates are higher than weekday charges.

Two children below the age of 5 who share the parents’ room with no extra beds are not charged for accommodation or meals. Children under the age group of 5 to 8 years are charged extra per child per night, inclusive of all meals & extra bed. Children under the age group of 8 to 12 years are charged extra per child per night, including all meals. Extra beds are available at an extra charge.

The charges include accommodation, breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea & dinner per person per night. Pets are not allowed inside the resort.
