Visit the Enchanting Magod Falls, Karwar

Magod Falls is a waterfall located in Karnataka. It is 80 kms from Karwar and 17 kms from the town of Yellapur. It is easily accessible by rail and road from the towns. The river Bedti falls from the height of 200 meters forming the Magod Falls. These falls lie amidst the dense forest. It goes dry during summers and misty in monsoon.

The place is remote with a magnificent view of the falls. You will find a large lake on the way to Magod Falls known as Kavade Kere which has an area of 60 acres. It is an ideal picnic spot with a beautiful view. The fall flows down into a rocky path from the height of 650 feet.

While visiting the Magod Falls, one can also visit the nearby sites like Jenukallugudda (honey rock hillock) and Kavadikere (8 km from Yellapur) which is close to Yellapur and known for the natural beauty of the place.

How to reach Magod Falls, Karwar

By Air

The nearest airport is the Hubli Airport.  If you choose to travel via Goa, the Dabolim Airport is around 105 kms away.

By Rail

The nearest railway station is the Yellapur Railway Station. You need to depend on private vehicals to reach the falls from the station.

By Road

Magod has a well-connected road network. It is at a distance of 520 kms from Bangalore, 205 kms from Goa, 90 kms from Hubli, 80 kms from Karwar and 19 kms from Yellapur.
