BEML started in 1964 with India’s first railway equipment division in Bangalore. It has a Rs.300 million R and D Centre. Ensures timely supply of spare parts, training, rehabilitation of equipments, maintenance assistance and servicing. A recognised export house, it exports machines to over 24 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and Middle East.
BEML plans to diversify into underground mining equipment and storage for petro-products leasing and financial services, setting up overseas offices, executing turnkey projects in mining and allied fields and joint ventures.
