Nireekshe School for Special Children And Learning Disabled in Mysore is an open school for special children with learning disabilities. It is also a day-care and activity centre for special and differently abled children. Nireekshe was established in the year 2006. The institution is run under the ‘Kripanidhi Trust’ as part of their service activity.
The institution offers them the opportunity to appear in the 10th and 12th standard examinations through National Institute of Open Schooling (English Medium) and Karnataka Open Schooling (Kannada Medium).

- Regularly organizes speech therapy, play therapy, yoga therapy, dance therapy, meditation, etc. throughout the year
- Involves trained teachers with Ed and D.Ed in special MR. Some of the volunteers and teaching faculty of the institution have completed C4D2 training at the All India Institute of Speech & Hearing, Mysore
- Conducts psycho educational evaluation of the students to determine their progress
- Offers parent counselling, group counselling, and individual counselling sessions and guidance
- Conducts awareness camps for the teachers of mainstream schools to recognize, identify and suggest remedies for children with learning disabilities & slow learners
- Arranges summer camps every year for the students for educational and recreational purposes
- Organizes periodical meetings between parents and teachers to discuss about the progress of the children
- Arrange recreational trips & outings with the special children and their families.
