Sahyadari College of Engineering and Management is founded under the Bhandary Foundation in Mangalore. This college aspires to be a premiere institute offering engineering and management studies as core subjects of specialization.
The college is affiliated to VTU and AICTE and is also approved by Government of Karnataka and HRD Ministry of India. It aims to be an institute that excels in research, technology and education and serves the nation. The college enlists professional ethics, continuous learning and improvement, integrity and trust as its core values which will help boost its innovative and interactive teaching methods
The objectives of the institute being “Its mission being to train the students as per requirements of the industry, to give quality education and provide ‘long term value creation’, to promote research and development which would help in enhancing the quality of life of the masses “.
In order to enhance the quality of education imparted, analytical innovation and research is encouraged. These researches should be carried out by one or more departments who would work together. Organizational support would be given to all the research conducted so that quality of the work is maintained.
The institute boasts of high quality architectural plan used to construct the buildings keeping the city’s coastal weather conditions in mind. The whole college is divided into four courtyards which house various facilities of the college.

Courses Offered
There are various courses offered in Bachelors in Engineering with an intake of 120 students only for each branch.

Infrastructural Facilities
The whole building of the college is divided into four courtyards which has the various faculties and administration office of the institution. There is a separate hostel for boys and girls.
A food court and a cafeteria, ATM and banking facilities in the vicinity, an amphitheater and a yoga center, there are 42 different laboratories, there are 600 computers, digital classrooms, and a sophisticated library.
Also there is counseling and welfare officer’s guidance, soft skills training, indoor and outdoor sports facilities. The public transport facility from the college is available round the clock and the students can use it anytime they want freely. There will not be any transport problems from the college.
Scholarships Offered
The institute offers scholarships to help out students for the weaker sections of the society. It has three scholarship schemes:
Human Resource Development and Department which is a Central government scheme, Beedi workers benefit scheme, Director of Technical Education (Sanctioned Scholarships).
Under the DTE(Director of Technical Education)scholarships the categories which benefit are individuals who apply under the Defense category or the SC/ST category.
