BB Estate Homestay

September 5, 2011 by Raggi Mudde

BB Estate Homestay is a beautiful ancestral bungalow nestled amidst natural surroundings. You can view the serene coffee plantations and unwind in nature’s lap during your stay here. The estate is located near the quaint old town of Madikeri, but lies distinctly away from the hustle and bustle of the town.

Run by Anita and Madan Somana, a very pleasant couple, this is a very good accommodation option and a registered premium category homestay approved by the tourism department of the Government of Karnataka.

Facilities Offered at BB Estate Homestay

There are two home stay options you can opt for – you can stay in the estate bungalow, which has two suite rooms or the other choice would be to opt for the 175-year-old ancestral house, which is a three-bedroom house.

Pets are not allowed in this homestay, and the room has amenities like attached bathroom, a television with TATA Sky connection, a complimentary tea/coffee maker and the like. Lunch or dinner is served but must be ordered beforehand. In case you want to go sightseeing, auto or taxis will be arranged for your convenience.

How to Get to the Resort

The BB Estate Homestay is a 120 acre plantation area, located six kilometers from Madikeri on the Madikeri Sidapur Highway. Mangalore and Bangalore are the nearest airports. You can drive from Mysore to Coorg and the distance involved is 120 km. From Bangalore, the distance to Madikeri is 260 km.
