More about Curiouscity Science Centre

Between 2019 and 2022, Dr. Shonali Chinniah (a marine ecologist with a Ph.d from Cornell University) and Anil Chinniah (an Engineer with a MS from University of Massachusettes, Amherst and an MBA from Drexel University, Philadelphia), put their hearts and minds together to introduce science in innovative ways to children with an enquiry based method. Children basically explore science by asking questions.

The founders have come up with interesting models like 2 hour science workshops, weekend field trips, themed based science fairs, summer camps, teacher training programs at schools, etc. Dr. Shonali Chinniah and team started this science discovery centre as a social enterprise in the year 2009.

The aim of Curiouscity Science Centre

The main aim of this science discovery centre is to make itself available to children from all socio-economic backgrounds. It is available to schools that can afford it with a charge while it engages in sponsored programs for low-income schools.
