Resort Overview
The Amalgamated Bean Coffee Trading Company Ltd. owns the successful Café Coffee Day chain. After the success of this chain, the Coffee Day chain of hotels and resorts was planned and started, for the company to enter the hospitality market. In 2008, Coffee Day Hotels and Resorts acquired Cicada Resorts which had resorts in Kabini and Bandipur, entering the market of wildlife resorts. The Kabini Resort has now been renamed as the Serai Resort. The Cicada Resort is in Bandipur.
Bandipur is a famous national park that’s part of the Nilgiris Biosphere Reserve, which includes Bandipur and Nagarhole in Karnataka, Mudumalai in Tamilnadu and Wayanadu in Kerala – all situated on the Nilgiris Range. The distance from Bangalore to Cicada Resorts in Bandipur is 220 km. It is a six hour drive from the city of Bangalore. From Mysore city, which is 60 km away, it would take two hours to the resort through a car. You can opt for trains to Bangalore or Mysore.
