B.V. Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology was founded in the year 1947 under the belt of KLE (Karnataka Lingayat Education Society). It started as a Polytechnic College in Gadag but was shifted to Hubli and upgraded to an Engineering College a year later. The institute has been named after the famous businessman and philanthropist B.V. Bhoomaraddi and has come a long way in the world of technical education.
Located in the town of Hubli in North Karnataka, it is affiliated to the Visveswaraya Technological University. The institute attained the status of autonomy in the year 2007 and is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
Adopting the Outcome Based Educational framework, it is able to cater to the needs of the industries and the society.
What Does BVBCET Offer?
BVBCET offers 12 Under Graduate degree courses and eight Post Graduation courses in the field of engineering. Eight departments of this college have been recognized as research centers for doctoral studies.

The college houses almost 2000 students in separate boys and girl’s hostels on the campus. Along with the state-of-art class rooms and laboratories, it also has a 24 hour library with Wi-Fi facilities for the benefit of students. The campus hosts a few clubs like the Electronics association, Robotics Club, Pratyush, Ankur, BVB media club, Innovation Forum and Aero modeling club. It has a well equipped gym and sports facilities.
The placement cells train students from the 2nd year onwards for the IT companies visiting the college for selections.
