Rock climbing is another popular adventure sports in Karnataka. Ramanagaram 50 kms from Bangalore is a favorite destination for rock climbers. The rocks are challenging and is considered as the Mecca of rock climbing. The place abounds in rock formations, that are a climber’s delight. The hill is about 3,066 feet above the sea level.

People using cycles in Bangalore has steadily witnessing a rise in number. Thanks to the number of groups working to encourage cyclists. The spurt in their number seems to be magic created by long rides organized by such groups.
Critical Mass Bangalore educates masses to use cycles. Both of them arrange cyclists get together at 4 pm near Press Club in Cubbon park on the last Saturday of every month ever since its inception in November 2008.
They arrange meetings on Theme based making the event meaningful. Like Valentine’s Day means cycle for Love, World Environment day for green cause and on Independence Day Freedom from Pollution.
Bangalore Biker’s Club arranges month-end rides. The rides are in the range of 150-200 Kms and have a minimum of 50 riders getting together to unwind.
Manohar DC, Vikrant and Sriharsha arrange rides to explore the mountains. The trips are are arranged on every third weekend for working people to escape from the busy life. Tandem Trails is operating from last five years, is run by 8 professionals has been promoting cycling for urban commuting besides catering to the needs of adventure freaks wanting to ride on extreme terrains. Riding on the hilly terrains and by the coffee estates is a great experience. They also provide cycles on rent for the people who don’t own one.
All said and done bike riding is a great experience and all these organisers are getting great responses to conduct camps. I am sure as time goes we will have more cyclists on road.
The innumerable rivers of Karnataka supports the angling sport in Karnataka.It has been blessed with Arabian Sea around Karnataka which makes it good for angling. There is plenty of opportunities for those who wish to do parasailing in Bangalore. There are two kinds of parasailing one is aquatic and the other one is terrestrial aquatic is not possible in Bangalore as there are no water bodies.

High Rope Traversing
Another exciting adventure sport is High rope Traversing, which can be done in different ways like crossing a river this can be done by tying a rope horizontally between two fixed points. In river crossing, one end of the rope will be anchored to an anchoring point on one bank and the other end is anchored to another anchoring point on the other bank.
