Gandhi Old Age Home in Bangalore aims at helping not just the elderly citizens but also the blind and mentally challenged people. Started in the year of 2001-02, the main objective of the old age home is to provide food, shelter, clothes and medical treatment to the residents. With about 50 inmates, the old age home is run with the help of donations received from various institutions and people.
Gandhi Old Age Home also conducts yoga and pravachana programs by renowned personalities with the aim of improving the health conditions, mental stability and developing self confidence among the residents in addition to the special medical attention they give to individual residents. The old age home’s future plan includes construction of a dining hall, library, temple and other facilities for providing better living environment to its residents.
