The seat of Karnataka’s state legislature, the Vidhan Soudha, is aptly located in its state capital, Bangalore. There are three prime political parties in Karnataka, the Indian National Congress, the Bharatiya Janata Party and Janata Dal Secular. Presently, the Indian National Congress is the ruling party of Karnataka, with Siddaramaiah as the elected chief minister of the state.
