Udhbhavaha School, Bangalore, is the result of a common vision by like-minded individuals for a holistic approach to education. The school aims to nurture children’s heads, hearts, and hands to shape them into balanced individuals based on Bharathiya cultural roots. Children between the age of four to fourteen can join the Udhbhavaha School.

Academics

Academics in the Udhbhavaha School, Bangalore, aim to understand the subjects through problem-solving and relevant projects. Depending on age, the school introduces children to math, science, languages, and social science. Kids learn Kannada, Sanskrit and English. Additionally, they are introduced and accustomed to the stories from the Ramayana, Mahabharata, Panchatantra, Bhagavatam, Dashavatara, etc., that depict the Indian culture. Furthermore, kids’ thinking, feeling and willing faculties are developed to make them balanced individuals.

Arts

The essence of life is instilled in children through the art form that have their base in Indian culture. Various crafts and martial arts are also taught. Children in the Udhbhavaha School, Bangalore, are taught Bharatanatyam, Carnatic music and Kalari. They also learn folk art, drawing and painting, woodwork, clay work, weaving, construction, and theatre. 

Body and mind

A healthy mind and a healthy body complement each other. Students learn to strike the right balance with the body and mind with development skills. They learn Krishi, Yoga, Kreeda, Ayurveda, and cooking.

Udhbhavaha follows a no-prescribed fee model for joining. It is a not-for-profit organisation initiated by the Vidyakshetra Trust (Public Charitable Trust). Hence, it functions on donations from benevolent donors. These donors also understand and support the cause of providing education free of business taints. Hence, the school’s motive is to provide education to children beyond financial restrictions. It also encourages parents who can afford to donate as much as possible.

Udhbhavaha School, Bangalore seeks financial support 

  • To meet their annual shortfall
  • To build their corpus fund 
  • And to build a fund for confronting emergencies

Hence, people can make a one-time contribution, big or small. They can also make a monthly or quarterly donation for a period of two to five years. The choice is theirs. Furthermore, Udhbavaha accepts donations within India and, most importantly, in Indian currency only. Donations are also exempt from Income Tax under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
