Bangalore, the garden city of India boosts of a number of children’s park. Some of these parks offer large spaces and nice atmosphere for children to run and play around. Some others have colourful attractions that are meant to keep the little ones happy and busy for hours on end. Let us have a look at the 5 top children’s parks in Bangalore.

Nandanavana Park, Jayanagar

The Nandanavana Park in Jayanagar is one of the most attractive children’s parks in Bangalore. The park boasts of a variety of colourful play equipment and 14 imported play models that are safe even for toddlers.

There are a number of mounted images of cartoon characters spread across the park. The highlight of the place is the musical fountain that mesmerizes kids and adults alike.

Jawahar Bal Bhavan

One of the best parks for children in Bangalore is the Jawahar Bal Bhawan, situated on the premises of the Cubbon Park. Spread across 12.5 acres, this well-designed amusement park has a lot of attractions for the children. There are colourful carnival rides for the toddlers. A number of play equipments and play models are meant to keep the young kids of 4 to 7 years age in a busy and active mode.

The park also has boating facilities. The highlight of the park is the toy train that offers a ride to the children as well as the adults.

J.P. Park, Mathikere

The Jayaprakash Narayana Park or the JP Park in Mathikere is one of the largest parks in Bangalore. This spacious park has the play area divided into 3 sections. Two of these sections have a variety of colourful play equipments for kids. The 3rd section is used for sports like badminton, volleyball, etc. One of the attractions of the park is a small rock garden that has seating areas made of broken glass pieces.

A large pond with various species of fishes also keeps the kids entertained as they can feed the fishes. The park has a musical fountain that becomes functional only on weekends. Lovely sculptures of human beings and animals placed across the park add to its beauty.

Kuvempu Park, BTM Layout

The Kuvempu Park is a neat and nice place for kids to play around. This park is situated in the BTM Layout and may not be among the largest ones in Bangalore, but it is definitely one of the most attractive children’s parks in the city. The park is dotted with a number of animal sculptures.

Toddlers and young children can have a great time playing around the sculptures of various animals like deer, giraffe, elephant, dinosaur and a peacock too. There are a variety of play equipments as well. A large gazebo standing in the middle of the park provides ample space to sit and relax.

R.V. Road Children’s Park

The R. V. Road Children’s Park in Jayanagar is a wonderful place for toddlers as well as young kids in the age group of up to 5 years. The park has various kinds of play equipments. There are a good number of slides, swings, rope ladders, tunnels, etc. for kids of different ages.

The park is floodlit and so, the kids can play in it even after sunset. Lovely gazebos adorn the park, where kids can rest for a while after getting tired from all the playing and jumping around.

  • Floodlit park that provides ample light for playing even after sunset
