The Srishti School of Art Design and Technology was established by the Ujjwal Trust way back in the year 1996 with the sole aim to provide a centre of learning and development for the creative arts that not only just teaches its students art and design, but also instils a sense of creativity and imagination in them. It has state-of-the-art facilities and is located in suburban Bangalore.

The courses taught in the Srishti School of Art Design and Technology is designed in such a way that it aids and promotes self-initiated learning and independent thinking. The courses are taught by industry-experienced faculty and a well-organized curriculum that aims to promote and cultivate artistic talent amongst its students and raise their creative perception.

The school has several connections with universities, institutes and associations specializing in art and design of international repute. The school also conducts regular chat sessions with design houses and media based agencies in the city of Bangalore and other parts of the country.

The school has well-equipped labs and workshops for its students to experiment, experience and educate themselves about the nuances of design. An in-house workshop with various looms, wood and metal workshop, coupled with exclusive access with a furniture manufacturing facility in Bangalore makes it an area where students can explore their full potential.

The school has an excellent library which has a vast variety of books, international journals and other audio-visual resources; it is well networked with wireless connectivity on Windows and Mac networks.

Research & Grants

The “Artists in Residence” and Research Associate programs at the school has helped support new and innovative designs and products to create an eclectic mix and an integrated thinking of design and communication. The school also houses specialized centres aimed at design research and providing grants to new and innovative projects.

Centre for Education, Research, Training and Development (CERTD), the Centre for Experimental Media Arts (CEMA), Srishti Labs, Centre for Public History (CPH) are some of the centres on the campus that aim to promote research and development in the field of art and design.
