What is the Janasevaka scheme?
With the idea of ensuring people-friendly delivery services, the state government launched the Janasevaka scheme. The Janasevaka initiative was launched to facilitate the doorstep delivery of government services to citizens, thereby enhancing governance efficiency. This initiative features an improved assisted delivery model that allows citizens to access services right at their homes. Janasevaka personnel are available from 8 AM to 8 PM to respond to citizens’ requests at their preferred time.
How to avail of the Janasevaka Scheme services?
- Identify the required service.
- Call the Janasevaka call center at 080-49203888 or 8904085030
- Your call is answered by a trained call center representative.
- They will explain to you the services available, the documents required, the fee, and the slot for the visit if required.
- Alternatively, slots can be reserved through the mobile application (KarnatakaOne) and the website (here).
- Currently, a total of 80 services are being provided through Janasevaka.

Step by Step guide to avail of the Janasevaka scheme service
Presently, the Janasevaka scheme provides 58 Government-to-Citizen (G2C) services across 8 different departments. Janasevaka is connected with SAKALA (which guarantees services to citizens within the specified time frame) to facilitate the prompt processing of applications. Once approved, Janasevaka visits the citizen’s location to provide the service/documents.
- Click here to download the app. Select the services available. Fill out the application, using your mobile number.
- Visit the Janasevaka website here. Fill out the application with the details including your permanent address, locality, and services required.
- Upon confirming and reserving your time slot, you will receive an SMS on your mobile device containing the details of the slot along with an OTP. This OTP must be provided to the Janasevaka when he or she arrives to collect the application.
- The Janasevaka who visit you will be dressed in an official uniform and will possess a government-issued ID card. To ensure further verification, after you schedule a time slot, you will receive a one-time password (OTP) on your mobile device, which you must provide to Janasevaka for authentication purposes.

Charges for Janasevaka services
The state government fixed Rs 115 as the service charge for the doorstep delivery of the services. Along with it, the public needs to pay the departmental charge and printing costs as applicable when the service is delivered.
