The Kodige waterfall, Chikmagalur, with its spellbinding beauty, is yet to be explored by tourists. Hence, it is an unspoiled spot in the lap of nature. Formed over the Netravathi River, the 30 feet Kodige waterfall is also known as the Durgadahalli Falls. It is named after the village Durgadahalli where it is situated.

The Kodige waterfall, naturally set in serene surroundings, cascades amidst lush greenery. It is a breathtaking beauty when one’s eyes catch the very sight of it. Surrounded by arecanut and coffee estates, it is an ideal place to spend time with family and friends. You can take advantage of the clean and cool water, which is not too deep. Hence, it is also an ideal place to swim. However, one ought to be careful while engaging in the waters. There are changing rooms and restrooms available, too.

The best time to visit the Kodige Waterfall

The post-monsoon season from October to December is ideal for visiting the Kodige Falls. During this time, the water is plentiful, and the weather is pleasant.

How to reach the Kodige Falls

The distance from Kodige Falls to Chikmagalur is around 68 km. The waterfall is 39 km from Mudigere and around 28 km from Kalasa. Tourists can drive up till Durgadahalli and hire a jeep from there to reach the falls. 

Facilities

Car parking, restrooms, changing rooms are available near the falls. There is also a little shop that sells tea, coffee and some snacks.
