It’s time for the Aero India Show! Started in 1996, this will be the 14th Aero Show to be hosted in Bengaluru. The air show is considered to be the largest such show across Asia and is organized once every two years.

The event is being organized by the Defence Ministry of India, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), the Indian Air Force, the Department of Space, and the Union Civil Aviation Ministry.
With its tagline, ‘Runway to a Billion Opportunities’, the show is aimed at bolstering business in the international aviation sector and providing a platform to showcase India’s aeronautical advancements. For this year’s exhibition, the logo has been inspired by the Tejas Light Combat Aircraft (LCA).

Aero India Show 20203 – Things You Should Know
The theme of the 14th edition of the 2023 Aero India show is ‘The Runway to a Billion Opportunities.’ The event aims to attract global investment to boost India’s defense manufacturing capabilities. More than 80 countries are expected to participate in the show.
Aircraft At The Show
The types of aircraft expected to be displayed include:
- The F-21 fighter plane
- C-130J transport plane
- MH-60R ‘Romeo’ multi-mission helicopter
- Javelin weapon system
- S-92 multi-role helicopter
- 787 Dreamliner
The Aero India 2023 will feature the Light Combat Aircraft-Tejas Mark 1A (LCA-Tejas) in its Final Operational Clearance (FOC) version. Aircraft in FOC form may be manufactured with all of the improvements included in the current version of the plane.
