With a kind vision of providing citizens services of Shimoga on an integrated platform, Government of Karnataka came up with this amazing idea. The idea is to collaborate multiple services on one single platform through Shimoga One. This vision came true by the utilisation of different resources of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Shimoga One – Beginning of a better tomorrow
It will not be wrong if I say that this is the beginning of a more advanced and better tomorrow. Getting services under one roof is like a dream coming true. Now, no more running back n forth to pay bills or taxes or ticket booking etc. All you got to do is to visit this centre and avail services at one place.
Shimoga One is a portal where there are many services listed like food services, tax payments, police verification etc. From the basic service of mobile recharge to complicated services like filing the tax return can all be availed under one roof. This portal is indeed cost, space and time effective. It saves citizens from unnecessary visiting different stores for different services.

Shimoga One – Services Provided
E-Filing of returns: Tax return facility is provided here.
RPO: New passports are generated here and also issues related to passports are resolved.
Property Tax: Property tax payment for land can be made here.
RTO: License and challan renewal, DL extract and B-extract of transport vehicles are also issued here.
Police Verification Services: Citizen Verification for respective government services is done here.
CSC services: Mobile prepaid recharge, DTH recharge,data card recharge, and LIC payment.
Food services: Ration card enrolment is done here.
Municipal Corporation services: Payment of water tax can be done at any Shimoga One centre.
MESCOM: Electricity bills can be paid here.
Excide Life Insurance policy: Exide Life Insurance policy is renewed here.
KSRTC: KSRTC bus tickets are booked here and ticket cancellation service is also provided.
Bangalore University: To avail benefits of Distance education of Bangalore University, citizens can pay the fee at these centres.
PUC Applications: PUC belonging students can apply for PUC results, re-totaling and Revaluation at these centres.
Government and Private Job: Registration for job alerts and application forms are also available at Shimoga One Centre.
DISH TV: DISH TV recharge can also be done here.
EPIC CARD: Card issuing, deletion or modification of details and also name inclusion services for EPIC card is done here.
Mobile bill payments: Users of post-paid connection can pay their bills here but the networks must be among Airtel, BSNL, Idea, Reliance, MTS and Vodafone.
UIDAI CARD: Generation of identification card for every citizen.

There are three service centres in Shimoga.
The service centres at Shivamogga remain open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm for all 365 days, except on the holidays declared by the Government.
