    Categories: Festivals

Bangalore Habba is a 10-day annual festival in the Garden City. Bangalore Habba 2023 will be celebrated from 1st to 11th December, focusing on 12 themes, including arts, culture, literature, heritage, technology, environment, design, dance, music, theatre and more.

The Birth of Bangalore Habba

Bangalore Habba began with the innovative idea of Nandini Alva and Padmini Ravi to celebrate Karnataka’s culture, art, cuisine and local artists. However, Bangalore Habba 2023 will not only focus on the city’s cultural aspects but will assume a new form, which will serve as a bridge between the old and new Bangalore. And henceforth, it will be celebrated in the first fortnight of December every year.

About Bangalore Habba

Bangalore Habba encompasses the pulse of Incredible India, bringing out the folklore arts and crafts to the outside world. Children from various government schools take up training for their performances at this festival. The festival is a real stage for all the artists to showcase and gain attention from genuine admirers. Many kinds of jazz, rock, chamber concerts, fashion shows, etc., are also included in the celebration.

Even handloom and Khadi exhibitions are added to the event to showcase artisans’ artwork in India. Art and Flower mélange and even folk and theatre performances add a variety to the celebrations of Bangalore Habba.

Other than art, many competitions, like a golf tournament, pulling race, tennis ball cricket tournament, etc., are included in the event. Furthermore, the vintage car rally is an interesting watch in Bangalore Habba. Also, many eateries will be lined up in the open space for the event, bringing in the heterogeneity of the cuisines in Karnataka.
