Karnataka Assembly Elections 2018: Pre-poll survey & Exit Polls

May 12th 2018 will not be just another day in Karnataka. This is the day Karnataka will vote for 224 seats in the Karnataka assembly. To form a government, the winning political party will need a minimum of 113 seats. While the elections may be more than a month away, pre-polls have already started making the rounds.  In this page, we have compiled some of the prediction data.

Karnataka Assembly Elections 2018 Exit Polls

Karnataka saw a voter turnout of 72.36  percent, highest since 1978 (71.9%). The last assembly election in 2013 had witnessed 71.45 percent polling. This is not good news.

The polling ended at 6 PM on May 12, 2018 (Saturday). Exit polls were released on most TV channels from 6:30 PM. The official results will be announced on May 15, 2018 (Tuesday).

The real winner seems to be JD(S), the kingmaker! But if you go by Chanakya’s predictions, JDS is in trouble.

The Karnataka Assembly has 224 seats, elections were held in 222 seats only. For easier understanding, assume the magic number to form the government is 113.
