Swarga Resorts

    Categories: Coorg

Swarga Resorts is, as the name suggests, a slice of heaven on earth. Located in the midst of coffee plantations in the western ghats, the resort overlooks the winding Hemavathy River.

The surrounding forests are at their lushest best in the monsoon months of June, July and August, but the best time to visit the resort would be after the monsoon, from September to February, when the weather is cool and pleasant.

A bird watcher’s paradise, this tropical getaway offers impeccable hospitality and rustic nature for those looking to escape the stress of urban living.

Facilities Offered

You can stay at one of the five well appointed cottages offered by the resort, modeled around the five elements of nature – Chandra, Surya, Prithvi, Jala and Vayu. In an attempt to preserve the biodiversity of the region, Swarga only uses biogas for purposes of cooking and providing hot water to the cottages. The food gives residents a taste of the local cuisines, and both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes can be availed.

How to Get to the Resort

The nearest airport is located at Bangalore, which is 250 km away from the resort. The closest town is Sakleshpur, 25 km away. The resort arranges for transportation from Bangalore, or Mysore, to the resort at an additional charge.
