Bangalore IT.biz 2010, India's premier information and communication technology (ICT) event was inaugurated on Thursday, Oct 28, at Lalit Ashok, Bangalore.
In the inaugural session electronic public call offices (e-PCOs) was launched, which is promoted by state-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd and Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd with global chip maker Intel and Suvidha Group.

Troubled by the increasing number of attacks on churches in the state, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa said that the desecrators' hands should be chopped off.
"I am telling you chop off the hands of these people if you catch them," Yeddyurappa told a public meeting in Karwar in Uttara Kannada district on Wednesday, Jan 27.
