- Dharam urges holding of session at the earliest
Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly N Dharam Singh today asked Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa to advance the Assembly session from November 23 for seeking vote of confidence for the newly installed BJP-JD(S) Government. ''It is a clear and persisting indication of instability,'' he told newspersons here, pointing to the postponement of the session for seeking trust vote from November 15 to November 23.

Predicting that the Janata Dal (Secular) will not transfer power to its alliance partner Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the opposition leader in the Karnataka Assembly, Dharam Singh opined that the BJP was day-dreaming on the issue. Speaking to newspersons here today, Mr Singh said the JD(S) leaders had started repeating for joining hands with the communal BJP as they found minorities distanced themselves from the party and would not back it in any future election. -
Dharam Singh predicts mid-term poll in Karnataka

Addressing the press here, Mr Singh said Wakf Minister Iqbal Ansari's remarks on the JD (S) MLAs wishing Mr H D Kumaraswamy continue as Chief Minister clearly indicted the transfer of power would not go through leading to a mid-term poll. -
Dharam turns tables on BJP over Mahadayi

Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly N Dharam Singh on Friday made a scathing attack on Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa over “poor” spending of budgetary-allocation for 2006-07.
Addressing a media conference here, Mr Singh said with only a few days left for the presentation of the new budget, only 38 per cent of Rs 43,438 crore allocated for various projects and schemes had been spent so far. “How can the remaining money be spent in less than one month?”, he asked the Deputy Chief Minister. -
