- Karnataka to bring new law to control cyber crime
Karnataka Home Minister M P Prakash today said that the State government was planning to bring a new law to control the cyber crime in the State. Replying to a query raised by Mr V Somanna of Congress in the Legislative Assembly, the Home Minister said that the government had noticed the rise in the rate cyber crime and had planned to introduce a new law to control it, besides giving importance for training of more personnel. - BSNL launches IPTV in Bangalore

Bangalore will become the first railway station to be equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity by August, Rail Tel Corporation of India Ltd MD, K K Bajpeyee, said today. Initially, it will function within a radius of 2-4 km from the station, and its radius will gradually be expanded to cover large number of residential and commercial establishments near railway stations.

The Karnataka High Court, considered a pioneer in computerisation, will have another feather to its cap, with it becoming wi-fi (wireless field) enabled from Wednesday onwards. Initiated by 18 senior advocates in association with the Advocates' Association and WeP peripherals, the service is to be inaugurated by Chief Justice Cyriac Joseph.
